They have some kind of deal going with Desmond. Lidl only sells the Express and Star, and has a small magazine section which I think features mainly gems from the Desmond stable.

If you like that kind of stuff did you know the National Trust are allowing access to the top of Penshaw Monument? I thought you may be interested being a local lass and all. Took the little Squeakers up on Saturday and they loved it, you have to wear a head torch to climb the spiral staircase up one of the columns then you pop out on a walkway with sides about 1 metre high. The view was great - especially watching the rainclouds scud about. We went on a guided tour of Durham Castle after that then a wizz around the Cathedral, I was quite heritaged out by tea-time

NT membership is a total bargain. Mrs A and I have been members for about 10 years. Thing is, we're now addicted to lemon drizzle cake.
