I'm earning £1300 a month after tax. Where can I get the benefits that will get me that sort of money?

I remember a mate of mine at college. He was in his mid 30s lived with a bird and their kids (3 I think). The council paid for the rent, child allowance, the bills etc as they were both out of work

When he got his HND he was gutted that he could never get a job as the start off money you'd get would be nowhere near his benefit allowance. He would have accepted a job if the money was right, but as he had kids to look after, it wasn't as simple as that.
I was living at home at the time and gladly took a low paid IT job just to get my foot in the door; last I heard, he was in the same situation. Poor bastard just wanted to better himself.

Its not the state's or his fault - there is no real fault here - just an unfortunate situation. The Mail and Express would probably blame the government instead of thinking of positive solutions.

Some people just find themselves in a hole and want to better themselves, but its incredibly difficult sometimes with the systems we have.

Oh, it's real. I honestly had to check the Express website before I believed that wasn't a Photoshop.

When we are on the Brink of utter bankrupcy the EU will come riding in like a knight in shining armour with an offer of rescue PROVIDING THAT WE ALL VOTE TO BECOME TOTALLY INTEGRATED NATIONALLY AND CURRENCY WISE AS JUST ANOTHER STATE OF THE EU SUPERLEAGUE.

I'd have no problem with that provided they changed that god-awful name to something like sterling and printed the queen's head on all the notes and had them signed by the governor of the Bank of England.

So he's being paid by the Government, not the Beeb? After all, that's Taxpayers money. Is he on benefits?

That's it. That's the final bloody straw. I'm emigrating to Spain next week. They don't stealth-tax your fucking tree house there.

Shit. I was really looking forward to when Cliff Richard's secret was finally exposed.

He had a sordid tryst in a tea-fuelled, two-in-a-bed sex romp at a seedy love nest with Sue 'Don't Like It Up The Bum' Baker. Hence the short relationship.
