Ethnic restaurants fail to curry favour...

There's definitely a note of pleasure in this report - the Express is no doubt glad that hard working Britons and immigrants may lose their jobs because takeaways have dated decor and overheads. Apparently this only applies to 'ethnic' places, not good old British fish and chip shops or pie and mash shops.

The comments are dutifully responding to the dogwhistle too

Who'd be foolish enough to use an ethnic restaurant? Their hygiene standards are highly suspect and with their inbred hatred of the British it isn't uncommon to have foreign 'fluids' mixed with the ingredients.

Foreign fluids?!   Probably true in AngloCelt's case, I bet his local curry house staff hate him.

With all the discovery of horse meat in supermarkets, the government has not sent inspectors into ethnic restaurants and take-aways ; I wonder why? - can it be prejudice? Neigh.

I wonder what basis 'voter' has for thinking that some restaurants aren't subject to UK food safety laws? Other than he's a steaming racist, of course..

He's talking out of his backside, of course. Restaurants of all types are routinely inspected for hygiene, but of course that fact is a bit inconvenient when you're trying to argue that PC Gorn Mad means the local Chinese gets a free pass hygiene-wise.

Nowt thinly veiled about that at all. It's in your face. I'd bet my foreskin that the phenomenon of diminishing trade during a time of recession hasn't restricted itself only to "ethnic" restauirants.

It is true that Bangla Deshi curry houses and balti restaurants do proliferate somewhat and that a good proportion of them do need a shot in the arm to improve them beyond the "meh" factor, and there's a non-racist article in that. But that angle clearly isn't of interest to the Express and its racist readers. See "Anglo Celt".

It's a bit tragic that people like AngloCelt always assume that being white/British is the reason why no-one likes them.

I'm reminded of Michael Winner being interviewed on Ricky Gervais' pre-office spoof chat-show. Winner was boasting about how he threw his weight around in restaurants when he reviewed them making the terrified waiters' lives hell. Gervais, "How much chef's piss do you reckon you've drunk?"

The racism doesn't seem remotely veiled here- anyone who uses 'ethnic' as a synonym for 'forrin' is quite obviously a steaming pile of racist horse dung, no exceptions.

A life-long pal of mine who was working in the kitchens of a Glasgow tandoori so as to be able to put his sister through yooni used to wank into the koorma of any passing racists's girlfriend. That's what he claimed anyway and knowing him well, I have no doubt as to the veracity of those claims.

You'd have thought the racist's girlfriends would have noticed him unzipping at the table. Or did he create a distraction?
