Anyone seeing anything more to it than a few meagre crumbs (Tax-free allowance, penny of fuel) already swallowed by previous rises? Apart from some big-sounding but ultimately minimal populist crap about taxing oil firms and private jets.

Same old crap. Loved Milliband's 'he's just Norman Lamont with an i-pod' quote. Be interested in how the leftist blogs disassemble Gideon's sums as they did last time.

I have to say it's great fun fishing on HYS at the moment, the DM types are in a right frenzy because I dropped into the conversation that Ed Balls would be chancellor by next year. They don't like it up 'em!

In the Dr Mengele way, presumably.

Guilty as charged, m'lud.

I did think of saying Dr. Shipman but Mengele is a funnier name, and most of that lot probably wouldn't get the reference

Have to say Miliband impressed me alot, answered alot, showed the budget up to half arsed and laid the petrol vote winning policy to bed when highlighting how much VAT had put it up by.

George Osbourne's snarled and annoyed expression spoke a thousand words.

Uh oh...

Remember back in the debates when the Tories accused Labour of scaremongering over planms to cut winter fuel allowances:

I assume they'll now apologise....

Nah. They were forced to do it because Labour left no money in the piggybank. Despite Gideon finding enough down the back of the sofa to soften the corporation tax cut and ease off on fuel taxes.

Beaker will be along shortly to explain it to us, and then patronise us royally.

How could I forget our Great Leader's greatest foreign policy triumph?

Fuck me.. Alexander was on PM last night and opened with "because of the mess that Labour left us with" to which I lost the plot while driving...

Change the fucking record.

Beaker is almost the worst. It's hard to know who has the more slappable face, him or Gideon. I wouldn't piss down his throat if his tonsils were on fire. Brainless, patronising, lying, arseing bucket of Nº 7s.

Credit where credit is due - looks like they're going to simplify and speed up the steps needed to get a clinical trial underway. Which science-wise is good news.

Time to get off that comfy fence and tell us what you really think.
