Well did you see the rather disgusting Darcus Howe interview done by the BBC in the last week or so.

I saw one where he was being a dick as well, to be fair to the interviewer. He's a very interesting man but he's often all over the place. He can write himself about how the kids have no discipline, but if other people say it he doesn't like it.

The BBC, thanks to the likes of the Mail, is shit scared of giving Tories a hard time because they know what will follow it.

Talking of the Mail...today's poll seems to have multiplied:-

Do you agree with David Starkey?

Should rioters have their benefits taken away from them?

Should BlackBerry Messenger be banned after 'inciting' the riots?

Do the sentences already handed down by courts seem sufficient for the crimes?
(pic of looter)

Should the Army be brought in to deal with the riots?
(Pic of main battle tank)

Is 10 too young to be a high-fashion model?
(I dunno - why don't you ask Suri Cruise?)

Do you think there are too many immigrants in the UK?
(Burkha pic, of course)

Should MPs bother debating the death penalty in Parliament?

Class, eh?

If it's the same one I saw (at about 9am), yes he was being a bit of a dick IMHO.

Just heard on Today the CPS want offenders aged under 18 to be named in connection to the riots.

Good God.

Cameron:
Reward without effort.
Crime without punishment.
Rights without responsibility.

This is beyond satire. Though I look forward to Private Eye this week.

I see the Mail reckons the looters have a rape on their hands.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2011/au ... CMP=twt_fd

Horrendous crime as it was, it was a day late.

Pathetic stuff from the Mail.

Well, they've already gone down the "blacks are to blame for the looting, even if the people involved were white". The whole "darkies r rapin teh white wimminz" thing is just the next step up. It really does feel like I've gone in a time machine back to the days of "no blacks, no Irish" signs.

Maybe the PC liberal press (like the mail) is only reporting the employed ones.
Or maybe each defendent is awarded an imaginary "non-job" for the duration of their trial.

So because I didn't loot, I'm deprived of the chance to be a 'Lesbian Awareness Risk Assessment & Climate Change Diversity Coordinator'? DAMN YOU, CLEGG!

Some "damned if they do, damned if they don't stuff" about the police today.

Damned if they do referred to shooting people dead, I presume.
