Any predictions on who will replace him? I wouldn't be too surprised if Gove gets the job. He was certainly sniffing around William Hague's job when it looked like he would get the push. Switching jobs would also help him evade some of the problems he's created while doing the education job.

I agree. Defence is much better for nest-feathering than Education. Particularly helpful now that his future dealings with Uncle Rupert are likely to face greater scrutiny.
