I just am. I know about all the research and stuff but I just find the whole thing to be constantly scare-mongering. Much as the right are constantly telling us that we're going to be flooded with immigrants sometime tomorrow, the left are constantly telling us that we're going to be killed off by climate change sometime next year.

And why are they preaching at me? Why are they not preaching at the Chinese and India Governments?

Simple. I refuse to believe someone has suddenly discovered we only have five years before suddenly it all goes tits up. Either;

1. Someone knew beforehand but kept schtum waiting for the five year barrier.
2. Someone is using the data in such a way as to grab headlines.
3. It's bollocks.

My reasoning? I'm pretty sure we were told much the same about 5 years ago.

Can't both of those things be correct? Isn't it possible to accept climate change as a fact, with potentially wide-ranging, malign consequences, while rejecting the apocalyptic scenarios peddled by pressure groups and the media? Perhaps that's what you mean by "slightly sceptical".

I'm going for no comment on this, the last time I mentioned climate change I started a shit storm. All I will say is I tend to find myself close to Bluebell on the issue. Yes, there is something in it but I feel its exaggerated.
