Reports of Molly Prince’s 12-month suspended sentence for perverting the course of justice have lead to her being mis-characterised.

Did she commit perjury by confessing in court to something she did not commit and giving statements that convinced the CPS? Just asking Max not implying anything

The world will be a much better place when Clifford retires. Or, indeed, had he never been born...

The men confirmed to the police in their statement that Molly had nothing to do with the assault. The police asked Molly to give evidence about events she had not witnessed.

Molly agreed to plead guilty to perverting the course of justice at the Crown Court at the start of the trial to bring an end to the matter, on the advice of her barrister at the time. With hindsight, she admits this was the wrong thing to do.

Call me a cynic, but that sounds suspiciously like a load of old bollocks.

It does to me as well.

I reckon the barrister could probably confirm it too.

Isn't it a Clifford standard line?

How nice of Max to suggest we lay off her for being a single working mother.

If she needs last minute carers there's a huge pool of very cheap candidates available.

That's like Paxo's line that Oona King, as a mixed race woman in politics, should have been left alone.

100%. The only advantage of a guilty plea is to get a lesser sentence. Now is a bit late to have second thoughts and take further legal advice.

Thirded.

The suspended sentence says to me "thanks for saving us all the bother of a trial".

Looks like Max has got another interesting client at the moment.

If Max can bring down Osborne I might just forgive him for some of his past deeds.

I'd like to take a whip to George Osborne and I promise you he wouldn't enjoy it one little bit.
The coke would be for me though, not him, to pick me up if I start to flag after the first three or four hours.

It's a bit odd to plead guilty to get it over with when the charge is so serious that it went to Crown Court.
