You need to be careful with the "is it just me" construction. In this instance it makes it sound like you are already bestriding the world of filth in human form like a colossus, and your asking whether this guy is, too, or so it reads to me .I'm sure this is not the case, though.

This bloke was on Newsnight talking rubbish last night. He was under the impression there'd been some massive popular groundswell for privatisation and handing over services to charities.

Presumably lots of questions would be asked if a special adviser went straight from being adviser into a job in the private sector so Worth will spend a bit of time working for a think tank before taking his knowledge and expertise to a private company seeking to cash in on the health reforms he helped to shape.

There'd be questions about a polician doing that. I've never heard the point made about a special adviser.
