I refuse to shop at bloody Trago Mills, the whole UKIP thing is very tiring. The adverts run in all the local rags I think, dunno about the Western Morning News but they're definitely in the Plymouth Herald.

They also advertise in the Exeter Express & Echo. I've been to Trago near Newton Abbot a couple of times. Me and the missus once got collared by a chap from UKIP whilst down there. He was attired in a Union Jack waistcoat I think and he spat a lot whilst talking. Not the most pleasant experience. He seemed to have a thing against the Germans.

Well I'll add this from my new area....Anyone ever picked up a Cornishman Newspaper.

Ever seen Trago Mills adverts they basically advertise their tat at really low prices, and have a massive comment piece in the middle of the advertisement which is usually written by the UKIP leader for Cornwall and rants about how the EU is destroying Britain.

It's amusing as Trago Mills employs alot of eastern europeon immigrants.

Aye, those ads are scary.

I love this city, I really do, but fucking hell I hate the people.
FORENERS ARE BADD - The worst thing is, the moderators are sticking the boot in too.

You're right about the BNP though. Someone who isn't me recently witnessed an event whereby some eggs somehow hit the house of a BNP member who stood in the local elections. There are a lot of them around here. My oldest friend is always telling me how the BNP have good policies, but "they just go too far sometimes".

It doesn't help that the socialists have pretty much given up on the suburbs, so it's either Labour, Conservative or BNP.
I'm really worried about it, to be honest with you. Sorry, didn't mean to derail so much.

There also seems to be some sort of drama unfolding on that forum, about a depot or something. I think it's been going on a long time, but here's the latest two.

I guess it takes a funny sort to post regularly on local forums.

Thing is with Trago Mills is surely the adverts are illegal in some way.

Cornishman is basically a blog for the cheap and nasty Tory PPC's are up to such as and this was a great example:

The Tory PCC for Cambourne basically went on a tour and complained about ASB and how it was busy all night. After 3 columns of moaning it ended with a small quote from the Police who said the night passed off relatively peacefully.

I think that's the 'Community Moderators', which I believe are just readers with too much time on their hands who've been signed up with minimal training to moderate the boards instead of the CT paying someone. But no-one seems to be moderating them, so the likes of 'Savannah' and 'larry' can post what they like while they bomb out anyone they disagree with...

Hope this link works as it is a story being carried in Exeter's local rag today about the BNP handing out leaflets in the town centre. Rather amusingly their supporters are quoting European & human rights laws, saying theirs have been breached.

And as usual BNP supporters from outside the region have been alerted and are posting too.

Oh and apparently you can now buy a book of all the anti-EU bilge columns in the Trago ads. It's a bargain at £4.99 from Trago Mills or £6.99 if you order it from UKIP.

*adds to Christmas present list*

Half of his article this week was listing some Peers.... Not much else in just an attack on some Euro Peers (Labour and Liberal Democrats of course)

more choice cuts from the Wandsworth Guardian...

Quote:
can anyone tell me the differance between a local resident and a illegal imigrant in the housing list my case i have a friend who has 3 children and will be homeless in 56 days merton and suttons responce, we have no stock available why not bid online for a flat , but you have a low priority, a immigrant must be housed the same day, my friend works and pays taxes where is the justice in this case or will the girtwiellers at merton remember who pays there wages no chance

What's a girtwieller? Oh and presumably if your friend 'works and pays taxes' the council considers him able to afford private rented accommodation. Also why is he writing to the Wandsworth paper about a completely different borough council?

For all its faults, I would rather have the cold snap that we are having here with its accompanying snow, than the searing heat that they are having in Australia at the moment. It is pouring with rain in Australia now (strange, as it is high summer there) and people have been told to watch out for crocodiles. Imagine a crocodile in the streets in England!

Thanks for sharing that with us.

and finally this one enigmatic message, all on its own under the header 'Interesting post'

Makes sense. My word, talk about overreaching themselves! They know what it means and (sort of) how to use it but fucked if they can remember hiw to spell it. "Er, now, that word that means the leader of a regional branch of the Nazi Party. What is it again? Girtwieller, that'll do, people will know what I mean"

On this story about a cafe being knocked down for flats, we got this man worthy of an Express message board post:
Quote:
dopey, says...

"Up to 15 residents also joined the site visit after the meeting"

Ohh my GOD, not 15 ? ! ?

. I would rather have Fish & Chips frfom this Emporium ,

"Now the developer is appealing to overturn the council’s most recent refusal, giving it permission to build the flats"

GO BUILD YOUR FJATS...I'M SURE YOU COULD MAKE ENOUGH TO RETIRE IN THE CAYMENS (IOW IS STILL OPEN)
