I'm sure I saw this story mentioned on something recently. It wasn't last weeks Now Show, was it?

John Holmes. Insinuated that the messages were genuine then quoted the ones that were most clearly piss-takes.

This has been keeping readers of the Exeter Express & Echo occupied.

Muffingate

Two Italian students squeezed a couple of muffins in Tesco and were treated like criminals by all accounts. The comments on the website are great.

"Much ado about muffin"

Seriously, fucking supermarkets do everything they can to dangle attractive stuff in your face in the hope that you're going to turn into some acquisitive, compliant, consumer robot and then they act all surprised when people want to touch stuff and maybe take stuff away they don't have the money to pay for. You can't have it both ways you cunts.

Southampton Daily Echo on a story about children to be enlisted for swine flu vaccine trials. The debate is between 'Hythe' and 'Brite Spark', the latter of whom had such an excellent point to make before blowing up in a spectacular wave of shite it beggars belief:

H:

I cannot believe any sensible parent will let their child take part in these trials.

BS:

How else are we to know that the vaccination is safe for adults? I hope that you don't suggest that we use monkeys and rats as guinea pigs for this process. Time is against us we need to test it on humans now!

H:
Quote:
well then lets test it on the adults who are happy to be tested on ..........like yourself

BS:

I never said that I was a volunteer, it's too risky this sort of thing hasn't been done before.
It should be tested first on children, criminals and immigrants.

Some of the comments there almost match the story for comedy value

If the magazine [the Big Issue] is such a good read why don't the publishers sell it in the shops rather than it being a cover for beggars.

Never before has anyone so wildly missed the point.

(also, just seen another article where someone has commented: "Two words. IKEA.") :D

Bloody hell, is there any story that a BNPer won't latch on to?

They're not doing Bournemouth any favours.

On a story about Parking attendants at a local shopping centre getting death threats for ticketing people in disabled spaces without disabled badge, we get this great example of Mailite thinking -
Quote:

IF YOU CAN PARK AND WALK AROUND SHOPS YOU ARENT DISABLED - END OF
THE PERCENTAGE OF GENUINE DISABLED PEOPLE IS PRETTY SMALL,NO WONDER PEOPLE HAVE CONTEMPT FOR THOSE ABUSING THE SYSTEM”

Quote:
ranger_bob , Springbourne says...

We are constantly told by various pressure groups that disabled people want to be treated equally. Good, no more disabled bays or disbled toilets then. Equality means being treated the same as everybody else not having special privileges.”

Last night, a man was walking among traffic on the dual carriageway through the town, before getting hit by a car (not killed, but injured). Despite there not yet being any explanation for why he was there, or what state his mind was in, we get this...

head case”

Quote:
ginger192 says...

what a douche bag.”

Even after I comment asking people to consider there may be many reasons why he was there, and not to judge so early...

The guy deserved help and prevention, but he is still a douche bag.

I find local paper comments disturbing. The Mailites are depressing but I can take some comfort from the fact that most of these cocks are far away. When I read sociopathic gibberings from people I routinely share buses and pavements with I feel very gloomy indeed. :|
