How did the Lib Dem's manage to avoid having someone on the panel tonight? Were they worried about having to try and sell the Mansion tax to a very hostile audience?

Hmm... A Tory, a Labour person, Self (Left?), Young (Um... Left?) and a DM/Kipper (Right). Probably would have unbalanced the panel a bit. Loss of Self or Young would have unbalanced some of the discussions too much.

And when has that bothered them recently?

Touché, but it could fuel the BBC Is Lefty argument.

Sorry I missed it tonight chaps. Out at a Labour Party meeting, of all things, with convivial session in the rub a dub dub thereafter that went on a bit too long (hic).

Sounds like I missed a load of fun.

Worth a watch Abers. Better than we've had for a while.

I missed it too. Couldn't get much idea of the flow from here, though.

Amazingly, I don't think anyone mentioned "the economic mess we inherited from Labour", which must be the first time in years that hasn't been said on QT.

Got the Dimbles confused there.

AQ is Jonathon
QT is David
Don't feel bad about confusing them, they've brought it on themselves by hosting almost identical programmes.
It's a cliché of Any Answers (phone-in programme after Saturday repeat of AQ) that at least once a week a caller calls Jonathon "David" - occasionally an older listener will call him "Richard" who was their Dad that used to host current affairs programmes from the 1930s until his death in 1965.

Richard was the best - That's one area where I agree with the surviving Hitchens.

Ahh yes the "Mansion tax is stupid because I'll pay" brigade.

Bah - it's on Sky Sports 3, I can't watch that. Still Paris-Nice on Eurosport soon. I believe your man Pickles is a keen cyclist.

Not a lot of people know this, but he was that lad in the Hovis ad.

Because the word "Imaginary" features large in that friendship.

I think it was implied more than directly stated.

Not much - Starkey was plainly unbalanced last week.

It was the DM Churnalist.

She's come across as thick the entire evening.
Incoherent, long winded, never quite understanding the question.

She's a DM Churnalist, she's not that thick. I would say she was deliberately not giving a straight answer.
