Why would you call your child 'Roman' - it's a fucking ADJECTIVE in English, would you call your child 'Indian', or 'Latvian'?

Mr Armsteen, you would not be so out of touch if you read the Daily Mail!

Adjectives, cowboys and modern heroes top predicted baby name trends for 2012

And aren't many of our more prosaic names derived from adjectives? Mine is.

Anyone who's been a teacher will have a stock of weird and wonderful names they've come across. My own favourites:
Joconde (French for Giaconda)
Bambi
X-Tra.

There was a lad in my year at Secondary School called Geordie.

Quite possibly from Geordie Racer.

Diminutive dialect form of George - at least 200 years old. Equivalent to 'Georgie'. Once the most popular name on Tyneside.

I do love how the West Briton has a variety of photos of Ron posing with some Spam.

Weird how this guy's skin is the same shade and texture as spam. Is that his problem, one of over-identification?

I now have a horrible image of him sliding that out of the hole in his neck.

Sorry everyone. Sorry Ron.

He's of course talking shit, the University has been their since 1920 and the only reason it survives as a town is the income generated from the University both the people it employs and the students that study there.

I won't comment further as it's too close for comfort let's just add that picture has no connection to what he's actually moaning about. And if it did it's probably because it's bin collection day. I walked down that very street on Friday night and though rubbish was outside (Students left mostly throughout last week so ample time to have this pictures taken), it wasn't piled up like that seen in said picture.

And he isn't even pointing...

Hmmm. More bewildered than furious, I'd say.

That looks like they just caught some old dear at a bus stop and took a picture. She may well be about to handbag the photographer.

I like how he defaulted to the 'upskirt' camera angle. Maybe he was hoping for a hint of bloomer as she ascended the bus.

Fairly good effort. Bonus point for the semi-contortionist pose.
