Ah cheers, Soulboy, for more Gloucestershire Echo action. I'm getting nostalgic.

Tonight's Wolverhampton Express & Star carried a letter saying a minister in the last TONY BLAIR LABOUR (their caps) government had admitted they encouraged immigration with the sole intention of gaining more votes. Can anyone point me in the direction of proof?

Most immigrants can't vote in General Elections anyway?

Remember the Andy Neather contraversy, where he said he thought there was a secondary aim in immigration of making people like foreigners more? My Mail-reading mum managed to get that garbled into Blair wanted them in to vote Labour.

Last night's Express & Star editorial criticised Cameron for taking too much notice of the Lib Dems. It said he's too keen on Human Rights and not doing enough about immigration.

Wolverhampton - the parallel universe.

This captured from a recent online version of a local though I wasn't able to verify yet that the printed version had the same clanger.

Not sure where else to put this. The phrase "too much information" comes to mind..

It's really perfectly logical. It's quite a drive from Bishop's Stortford to the coast, so it is difficult to physically abuse an octopus in the flesh. Therefore, one must rely on pornographic images.

If you're going to have a crack at an animal, though, an octopus isn't a bad option, if only because you can chop it up and fry it up very quickly afterwards as a delicious post-coital snack, maybe with a bit of chili salsa. Presumably you'd have to shower afterwards though, cos the octopus will have been shooting ink at you throughout like nobody's business.
