Doesn't that involve a mirror, a candle, a sacrificial goat, and waiting until midnight?

Osborne's budget 'U'turn seems to have grabbed the main headline on BBC lunchtime news, how convenient for the Chancellor.

She never replies to any of my tweets to her funnily enough but I asked her what was she on about as his position is even more untenable than ever after his performance.

I liked this tweet from Joey Barton

I beginning to think that the Telegraph story about Hunt stepping down after the Olympics is looking like the most likely outcome. Ambitious Tories like Mensch will remain loyal to Hunt for the next couple of months knowing that they could well end up with a junior government position come September.

So who's great idea was it anyway? Blame game at No.10 over decision to launch Leveson inquiry as it leaves PM embarrassed and one of his ministers fighting for his job

Never call for an Enquiry unless you know the outcome in advance.

What a flaming mess! We even have David Mellor critisising what a flaming cheek he has. I haven’t even mentioned the privatisation of our NHS and the complete mess of the schools and tuition fees, the police, the nurses and all public sector workers. And the double dip! No growth. They must now realise they are a one term government. The bad news is, knowing that, they will hang on to power with their finger tips as long as the Lib Dems remain obedient!

Desssperate, fawning, flanneling Tory mp's I've never heard of lining up to defend U-turns on the Beeb. Laughing my arse off.

....and Hunt continues to squirm and sweat. If this was a boxing match the ref would have stopped it long ago.

Apparently the only thing wrong with the country is the money that the unions donate to Milliband.

Only followed it via The Guardian website, but this one's a cracker:

Quote:
• Hunt texted James Murdoch on 21 December 2010 – hours before he was given responsibility for BSkyB bid – congratulating him on European clearance for News Corp's £8bn takeover. "Just Ofcom to go," he told Murdoch.

This message from Alan Russbridger is worth clicking the attached link on:

Quote:
arusbridger 2 hours 28 mins ago Twitter News Corp & DCMS: thousands of texts, emails & phone calls. Meanwhile opponents of the bid got this yfrog.com/mmwmonj

Some of the tweets from jounos and politicians regarding Hunt's evidence raised a smile.
