Whilst at the bus-stop this morning i noticed a rarther freaky election poster from the 'ANTI-CRIME (AND ANTI CORRUPTION) PARTY' headed my Norman Scarth. At first i thought it might have been old Albert Hurwood rebranding himself but having never heard of them before i did a quick search on the net, turns out hes a bit of a nut

Anti-crime. What a genius idea. We should make all crime illegal. Oh, wait...

Anti-crime, as though somehow all other political parties are unanimously "pro-crime"

The website accuses the NHS of having planted killers within it. How odd.

Apparantly Normans one of those people who are so outraged at modern Britain he forget his computer had a caps lock button.

you know the sort of "BRITAIN has gone to THE DOGS because of TRAITOR BLAIR" type thing to emphasise your point.

I like it on his site where he wrote to Blair telling him that as he was a lawyer he could try himself for Iraq! (Blair didn't get back to him)

He looks like a Monty Python character. One played by Graham Chapman.

REGINA v NORMAN SCARTH. 22 Jan. As long ago as 27th April 2001 at the Crown Court at Sheffield the applicant was convicted on one count of wounding with intent contrary to section 18 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861 and the matter was put back for reports. On 22nd June 2001 the applicant was sentenced by His Honour Judge Bentley QC to an extended sentence of 10 years under section 85 of the Powers of Criminal Courts (Sentencing) Act 2000, made up of a custodial element of six years' imprisonment and an extended period of licence of four years. The applicant sought leave to appeal both conviction and sentence. On 25th November 2002, before a full court consisting of Rose LJ, VP, Gibbs and Davis JJ, the applicants's renewed application for leave to appeal against conviction was refused. His appeal against sentence however was granted, the extended sentence was quashed and the full court substituted an Interim Hospital Order under section 38 of the Mental Health Act 1983. In so doing the court made it clear that the sole reason for quashing the sentence was because that was a prerequisite to the making of an Interim Hospital Order. The court further ordered that any hearings to follow in relation to the Hospital Order should be remitted to the Crown Court. The applicant has asserted that any question of a Hospital Order was entirely contrary to his wishes. He also asserts that by then his legal representation was without his consent, although there is nothing on the papers or the transcripts to indicate this. The further hearings that took place before the Crown Court at Sheffield were all dealt with by His Honour Judge Goldsack QC, the Recorder of Sheffield. On 7th February 2003 the Interim Hospital Order was extended. On 7th March 2003 the Interim Hospital Order was further extended and from at least that date the applicant had dispensed with all legal representation.

is this the same bloke?

probably, his address for correspondance mentions a mental hospital.

Poor chap's obviously not very well, though if thats the case it puzzles me how he can stand for election
