Charlie Brooker got into a bit of trouble for writing something like that. Just sayin'.

Jokily calling for a politician (in his case Dubya) to be shot.

Seems there might be more to Danny Boyle's Olympic opening vision than first met the eye.

I DO hope so.

A friend in the know has informed me that the Green and Pleasant land bit makes up around 10% of the whole show. He said what happens next will 'blow our minds' but cannot divulge any more info other than it will be the biggest set change in History.

We'll just have to wait and see.

Are you hinting that Macca's going to do a set of Billy Bragg songs?

The entire scene flips over, Tracey Island style, to reveal Cameron dancing, alone, to London Calling.

Everyone commits suicide.

Athletes have begun arriving in the UK ahead of the London 2012 Olympic Games but the main park is still a construction site with less than two weeks to go until the opening ceremony.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... emony.html

The article is bullshit, all construction in the park finished a long time ago. All that is left in the park is fitting out the venues with the branding. None of the teams have arrived yet, only a few Olympic Officials. They are housed up in completed apartments.

Athletes have arrived in the UK but they are at their training camps based around the country. They have known for a long long time that the park is due to open on July 23rd... and that's exactly when they will arrive.

Just knowing that journalists from the mail will occupy free seats in the venues makes my blood boil!

I know what you're saying but think about how they'll be there to report Dacre's bollocks and won't be able.... Also think about the reduced circulation of the rag because of all the "OUTRAGED" readers escaping this country because of the Olympics (none) There will be a different story after the event :(

They're getting a major kicking in the comments, not only about the fact that they are telling outright lies, but also because people seem to have got sick of the constant negativity on this topic. Let's hope that view spreads.
