Sara is currently editor of the university student magazine, both online and in print and is about the start work experience with Fabulous magazine at the News of the World.

She picked her course because it teaches multiplatform journalism to prepare her for work across all sectors. She wants to be a journalist to shape the news.

Of course I included sentences that were calculated to incite trolling, spiteful comments and social media rage. I am not upset in the slightest that vested interests object to my opinions – that was utterly predictable – but it does annoy me that people imagine I didn’t know what I was getting myself into. I have been asked if I actually exist or if the i invented me for a trolling exercise. Well I exist and of course I knew. My dream is to be a tabloid editor. Do you really think I don’t know how to cause mayhem with words?

Someone said ‘she should go work for the Daily Mail.’ Presumably this idiot does not realise it is Britain’s most consistently successful newspaper – a market leader since 1896, if I may point this out. So, my answer is YES PLEASE! Another one who tracked me down on Facebook said that it was a pity NotW died as it would’ve been my spiritual home. Anyone who has read anything I have previously written knows that it was. Anyone who works for or with me on this publication has received staff messages signed Miss Malm-MacKenzie. And I know this annoys people. Some journalists want to save the world. That’s not my dream. I believe in the free speech. I want to be controversial, I want to make people think, to challenge their assumptions and to write back because they disagree.
