Judging by the angle the story is written from, I predict an easy victory for ramblers, some of whom are likely, after all, to be middle class.

I see the Mail still refuses to capitalise the word Gypsy, while continuing to capitalise Prime Minister and Christianity. Cunts.

My slim, trim gypsy mother: Danielle Mason flaunts her svelte size 10 figure just four months after the birth of her son

Sorry, Colin. That is prejudice.

Amazingly this comment has gotten through, even though they are moderated.

More and more cases are beginning to happen now,the result of the ratcheting up of negative stereotyping of racial, ethnic, eastern Europeans etc by the right wing media,Daily Mail and Daily Telegraph. The true colours of a lot of British are beginning to show, and the right wing media have a lot to answer for.

I'd like to see what criteria they have for telling if you're not allowed.
DNA tests? Is anyone with a gold earring suspect? If you dressed someone of impeccable WASP heritage up with a crystal ball and stolen kiddie under each arm, would they get in or not? Do settled Gypsies with planning permission get in undetected?

If it's only 'known troublemakers' that they recognised, it seems quite arseways to cover them with such a specific sign; gadje vandals could presumably get away with claiming purity of blood.

I'd have thought a "ne'erdowells" board would cover it.

Same caravans, same families, same problem: Mail reporter on the front line at the second battle for Dale Farm where three months later tensions run deeper than ever

This is not a problem that is going to go away quietly.

Last week Mail reporters were out and about trying to spot Romanian Big Issue sellers and now they are being dispatched to the 'front line' in Essex. Has the fat butcher switched off the heating at Dacre Towers to encourage his reported to get off they lazy arses and try and do some proper journalism?

Britain's youngest gypsy bride gets married aged 16 years and one day in £50,000 ceremony in 6ft wide dress... but changes into a super short tutu for the raucous reception

Reader-baiting. The Mail has already had to take the comments down once.

The pics are nicked from the Star and the whole thing is the fault of Channel 4, so the ugly stereotyping can't just be pinned on the Mail.

Compare with the beautiful, moving opening scene of Latcho Drom.

16 is the legal minimum age for marriage in the UK anyway (provided parental consent is given), so there is no need to specify that she is a gypsy girl or to assume that she is the first girl to get married at that age because of her backround.

Except to show more photos of gypsy women and kids in revealing outfits and mention the estimated cost of the wedding, to make the readers speculate what they had to do to raise that kind of money when they are traditionaly very private about their finances.

Seems the gypsy target has yet to loose its novelty for the mail.

£50k? They would have needed to scrap a lot of war memorials to pay for this.
