Quite. Unless he was denied a drug that the NHS won't pay for, or a procedure that wasn't done. In which case we need details, but alas...

Transgender lessons for pupils aged five: Classes will 'overload children with adult issues', say critics

Paragraph 19:
Quote:
Also announced yesterday were longer jail terms for murderers who are motivated by hatred of transgender people.

The basic sentence for anyone convicted of such killings will be 30 years, Kenneth Clarke said.

Similar attacks on disabled people will also face the same tough minimum term.

How the Daily Mail works:
Headline: FURY!!!
Paragraph 19: Stuff Mailites might agree with.

Please don't read the comments.

:( *sigh* why didn't heed that warning. gah, well, i'm not wading through them again here, but a fair number seem to be riffing in this tit-bit from the article itself...

Quote:
Margaret Morrissey, founder of campaign group Parents Outloud, said: ‘These are adult issues and we should leave it until children are older or until they ask.

‘The problem is we are overloading our children with issues that they should not have to consider at a young age. PSHE is already overloaded with other issues.

‘We have given them sex education and teenage pregnancies have risen year on year.

‘We have told children about drugs education and we have a serious problem with drugs. We have told them about drinking and cigarettes and we have more children with alcohol problems and smoking.’

[Citation Needed]

and i mean a proper one, not just some ad hoc ergo propter hoc bollocks.

...also, even following that logic, does she think teaching children about trans issues will make more of then trans? 'bout as likely as teaching them about disability rights making them paraplegic.

I got a newsletter yesterday at work (I work in public health). Detalied stats show <18 pregnancy rates are, and have been for some time, declining, both at local and national level.

It doesn't even make grammatical sense. "Come fly with he" just reads all wrong. It should be "him / her", but then they lose the pun. So pun > grammatical accuracy. Just imagine if they'd done this in a Mosque?

Mother's shock as long-lost daughter turns up after 14 years and reveals she is now a MAN

fairly standard (likely churned) article, which wouldn't be too bad but for the mails unfailing references to the man in question as "she".

comments not toooo bad, though not because of a sudden about-face in the readers compassion, but because 95% of them are just pointing out over and over that the mother was once on come dine with me about 3 years ago.

(also, "long-lost" is not the same as "estranged")

OK, firstly, the main protagonist of this article is a knob. That much I agree with:

Police probe after children find mobile phone with picture of laughing mortuary embalmer holding up a severed head
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... -head.html

Fair cop, you may think. Named and shamed, shouldn't be in business etc. The Mail, however, decided to really disgust their loyal baying fans with some lazy tranny-bashing:

Quote:
He is understood to live with a cross-dresser, David Hill, in Aylesbury. When questioned at his home, Mr Hill refused to comment about the pictures.

Wearing what looked like a blond wig and accompanied by another person who also looked like a man dressed as a woman, he shouted: 'We don't want to make a comment. No comment. Go away or we are calling the police.'

But there might be a perfectly innocent explanation for the photo.

After all, who amongst us here can honestly say that they have never, whilst working in a mortuary..........

Oh, fair enough then.

He's a knob.

Call me a boring old fart if you like, but if I was a fun-loving mortuary attendant I'd steer clear of having my photo taken arsing about with a severed head precisely because of this scenario playing out.

The Mail have wheeled out yet another story on Charles Kane, the man who went through gender reassignment twice...

...He was never transgender. He should be angry at the NHS for going through it if he never needed it. But to say that the rest of us are deluded is highly insulting, regardless of whether he thinks he has the rights because he used to be a woman.

Sorry to snip you there, but using the Charles Kane case to claim trans-gender people "deluded", is imo, about as useful as saying people who have cancer are "deluded" because someone with munchausens once managed to get treatment they didn't need.

(If that makes sense!)

I don't think the claim that all transgender people are deluded was being made. I think the claim was that Charles Kane is deluded.

I didn't see much sense with the second half of your statement but it does not look like you were being a self important tosspot (rather it was an emotional response, or at least that's how it appears).
