Google cashes in on hate videos: Internet giant puts ads alongside thousands of terror rants on YouTube

Methinks that the mail is biting off more than they can chew for a change. Well done Dacre for showing a bit of backbone!!!!

Alas .... there will be only one winner.....

I'm quite looking forward to the day that Google reaches out to Dacre and squeezes his guts out of his arse.

Sorry, was that too graphic?

Google could pretty much ruin Mailonline if they actually gave enough of a shit about them, but I doubt they do.

If they feel so strongly about Google, though, they could always sever all ties with them. They won't of course, because hits are more important than their moral crusade.

I'm by no means a big fan of Google, but the Mail is really on the wrong track here.

Every visual medium since the Year Dot has been driven by the promise of a glimpse (or rather more) of naked flesh.

Anyway, that's not the point. Will Google Glass have a sidebar?

It seems like the mail has a fundamental misunderstanding of how the internet works.

They have a fundamental understanding of how their readers work, though.

What WILL it take for Google to block child porn? Jailed for life yesterday, April Jones's murderer is the latest child killer to use the internet to fuel his perversion

I'm pretty sure that before the internet, these people used videos and photos to share their vile hobby. I guess on the internet it's slightly more accessible but you still won't find it just with a simple Google search, no matter what Amanda Platell might say.

Also, other search engines are available.

That's the thing. There's been a document on Wikileaks for ages detailing the kind of practices involved in internet cp. In short, like any engaged in such illegal activity, the CP community are pretty tight knit, paranoid and extremely cautious about their activities.

A fucking clue, though. This shit is highly illegal in almost all jurisdictions and is universally disdained. If it was simple enough to track down by means of Google and Whois, it'd have been shut down long since. Poor benighted imbeciles genuinely believe Google covers everything on the "internet". Probably the same clowns who reckon the net lives in the little blue "e".

Mailites are't buying it.

As this Daily Mail article has pictures of April, as well as previous Daily Mail articles featuring photos of child murder victims, which your article states this monster "googled", are you suggesting Google should remove all Daily Mail results from it's search results? Or perhaps you are suggesting ISP's should block access to the Daily Mail website as it is a website that regularly publishes numerous pictures of child murder victims? Rather than use this on your apparent editorial anti-Google campaign, I suggest you first learn how the internet works, then come back to us with some sensible ideas to block this kind of filth.

Dacre doesn't understand technology or the internet and doesn't like it, so I can see why he's insisting on perusing this suicidal war with Google. But surely, somewhere within the Daily Mail there are plenty of technical/internet savvy advisers telling him that this is very silly and that Google are kind of a big deal and this is not one of his defenseless victims who can't fight back?

Interesting, that last comment. The government fell into that trap when they held Mick Philpott up as an example of a degenerate culture that needed to be changed, then trotted out 'we don't comment on individual cases' when people came a cropper due to benefit and tax changes.
