You know how it is, that Kimberley out of Girls Aloud. No not her, that's Cheryl, the northern one. Yes, her. Cor, ain't she fat...

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/ar ... tears.html

For those who don't know her, this is Kimberley Walsh.

What a porker, eh? Well apparently so...

I agree with Paul of Birmingham - I'm also fed up of the media calling larger women curvy. Kimberely is clearly overweight.

Is anyone really surprised. This girl has huge fat legs and chunky hips. That's why so many so called "real women" on here are defending her. She is a celebrity without talent. She is not curvy. Kelly Brook is curvy, and Kelly doesn't have those big legs like Kimberley. Kelly Brook is curvy. Kimberley is overweight. The only people who disagree are fellow fat women who always lie about what size they are.

This would be that well known Sky One show "This Morning", which ITV obviously steal.

Wow what an ignorant comment. Kimberley is the least natural of all those girls. And is the least talented. She is the worst singer. Nadine is the best singer and the most attractive. Kimberley is just the fat one that got lucky.
Red arrow away "real women" the only reason you like her is because you can relate to her.

LOL At people calling her a size 8-10. Oh please My girlfriend is a size 10 and she is much much slimmer than Kimberley. Kimberley is at least a size 14, she is a big girl. She could do with losing a few pounds. It's not healthy. She looks like she is way to heavy for that poor pony.

Because in Amy's world the only thing that makes you unhealthy is a bit of fat. Which is presumably why African famine victims live forever...oh no wait, that's not right, is it.

Good for Julien! Plus size models hav eno place on the catwalk. They don't fit the clothes and make everything bulge. Our nation has become obsessed with being "curvy". Well there is a difference between curvy and fat and the obesity within our nation is costing us a fortune so any move to stop the influx of fat thinking in our society is more than welcome. Models should be THIN.

Ye gods, what an absolute bunch of cunts! I take it they all think Nigella Lawson is morbidly obese and can only get around with the use of a crane. And again with this idea that only other "fat" women would disagree with calling her fat- most of my male friends would love to have the sexy time with Nigella, and actually find Kimberly and the other GA members too thin! To quote my mate John

Quote:
I actually want a woman who has an ass, skinny women don't have asses. Or boobs. I don't want to spend my time with a woman who's afraid of cake.

Jesus. I should be so lucky as to look like either of them. And I'm a size 10/12 so apparently massively obese by those cunts' standards.

Edit: and how many of the male commenters above would stand any chance with either of those women, I wonder...?

At size 14 I'm probably morbidly obese by their standards. I'm literally not able to get down to size 10. Even at 7st 8 after a near breakdown (not only fat but shamelessly weak and attention seeking too :D ) and looking really ill to the point that people were gossiping that I had anorexia, (I didn't btw) I took a 12 because I genuinely am big boned which in mail land is a euphemism for fat and lazy. Some of the posters do not accept that not all women are tiny and small framed just because they are or wish they were or think their Mrs should be.

Seriously, WTF? These sort of stories do my head in.

Actually heres a true story. At work one of the people I work with is a woman, a few years younger than me. She keeps making comments about how she is fat, how she needs to lose weight, etc etc. Alright she might be a very teeny tiny bit overweight.. but she certainly isn't "fat". I certainly can't help but think its stories like those in media that are making her think that she is fat, when truthfully she isn't.

I mostly wear a size 16, but I have a couple of pairs of size 18 jeans. I am a vast ocean of fat. I also have big feet, broad shoulders and a broad ribcage, and might be able to get down to a size 10 if I gave up food entirely, but I'm not about to do that (I'm eating salad right now - fatty!)

Also, Kimberly Walsh has what is obviously a muscular stomach there - and I can't see where here jeans "don't fit" either. These comments seem to be divided between (a)ridiculous man-children that haven't the faintest idea about human anatomy and (b)women who are probably terribly insecure about their own looks. Mostly the former.

if these designers are so great, why do they need size 0 models to make their clothes look good?

most designers are gay, maybe that's got something to do with it

I forget where I read this, but I once read an article where some anonymous designer said if coathangers could walk they'd send them down the catwalk instead. It's all about the clothes and the fewer lumps and bumps the better. Despite the fact they are worn by actual people. Interestingly, a size 12 dress by for example Marc Jacobs is much bigger than a size 12 one from Topshop, so perhaps designers are actually aware (when making the stuff for actual sale) that the women who buy them tend to be better off, therefore a bit older and therefore likely to be a bit bigger. And yeah, as Moonshien says, most designers are gay (or female), so don't see models in a sexual way. Though you do get a very few who like curves, ie Vivienne Westwood, Versace (before he was murdered), Herve Leger, Dolce & Gabbana and, er, that's about all I can think of at the moment.

I tried on a pair of J Brand (pricey) jeans last week and was 3 sizes smaller than the equivalent in Topshop. Mind you it could just be flattering the women who buy their clothes into thinking they're a smaller size than they really are. Which takes us back to why on earth is it desirable to be as skinny as possible? I know that in the past in our own culture and in present day ones where rich food was/is at a premium it's more desirable to be larger, and until the late 20s it was fashionable to be pale to show you didn't work outdoors (and it still is in some parts of the world - and now with the prevalence of fake tan, the tide is turning again). So maybe now being really really skinny is seen as a sign that you have the leisure to diet and the money to choose what you eat to remain thin?

The Duchess of Windsor famously said you can't be too rich or too thin. You only have to look at photos of her to see that the latter isn't true.

errrrm excuse, from a blokes point of view here a size 14 is plus its very very plus, its beyond plus ask yourself this why are women obsessed with looks figure etc?
well we all know the answer to that one its in their genetic make up to be beautiful like a peacock with its tail to attract mates. (I.E MEN.) AND IM SORRY BUT MEN LIKE A THIN WOMAN (WELL NOT THIN) BUT ATTRACTIVE SIZE LIKE SIZE 6 OR 8 AT MOST, POSH IS MOST MENS IDEAL BUT WE HAVE TO SETTLE FOR LARGER BECAUSE NOT MANY WOMEN ARE WILLING TO EXERCISE AND EAT SENSIBLY LIKE POSH DOES.

I know size 10 in Britain is seen differently as opposed to the US but she does admit that she is a US size 2, which for a model is classed as a plus size. No wonder teenagers and millions of woman around the world are struggling to accept their body shape.....the average real woman is a size 12 to 14 with curves in all the right places...and yet the fashion industry continues to show us images of basically anorexic individuals and intimating that we should all aspire to be the same.....when is the world going to demand that real woman are used in advertising campaigns ?
