Oh God, I give in.

or

oh god i give in

Which is better for meaning? For reading clarity? Do these conventions exist for a reason or not?

Or should I just give up on standards and get a life? Whatever the fuck that means...

:) just relax about it, that's all.

if you're genuinely at a loss as to what someone is trying to say, ask, no one will mind if you just do that.
but aside from that, just try and view this place more as if it is to letter or article writing, what after dinner speaking is to a chat in the pub.

:D now, lets all be friends again eh?

Then don't be suprised if other people don't believe the same.

It isn't me who's telling people to 'get a life' is it?

But then I'm not trying to force other people into using a higher level of grammar, spelling and punctuation than is necessary to understand what people are writing for months on end.

Demonstrate the use of force. Or anything else other than comment.
You're the one who started using insulting language. Is that normal for you?

of all the ways that a person can be shown 'disrespect', one of the most spurious and bizare definitions possible has got to be 'using the wrong sized letters to write their name'

for me, such demands are to be taken as seriously as getting upset if a man is seen without a hat in public, or if he might dare to use the wrong fork at dinner.

It's a bit rich for you to claim that me saying "Get a life" is "insulting" when you're not exactly averse to insulting people yourself. The use of the phrase "get a life" was in any case over your obssesive postings about other peoples use of English in the last few weeks and it's getting frankly tiresome, and there are more important things to worry about than whether someone uses capital letters in the right place. After all, if I say "adolf hitler", you know exactly who I'm referring to, yes?

Sorry, I just dislike people using linguistic faux pas against people. It's just what I believe.

Fine. Can we just get on with nutting the Tesco's version of Voldemort?

(Ferrari fined $100,000 - result stands)

Yes and no. It's a silly rule, and could get Ferrari excluded from a good 1-2, whoever was leading at the end. It would have been nice to see Massa win a year on from his accident, and it might have rejuvenated him, but Ferrari's money is on Alonso. Dull race, though.
I want to hear more about the new flexi-wing protests.
