Dunno if anyone is listening to the radio now but I've had this email

Quote:
Hi all

Dave Prentis will be on BBC Radio 4 - You and Yours Programme tomorrow (Tuesday 18 October). It is a discussion programme re strikes and he will be up against Ed Holmes - a policy wonk from the Policy Exchange - a right wing organisation

This is a phone-in programme and it starts at 12.00 and goes on for almost an hour.

Just wondering if it's any good.

I'm not sure why You&Yours is Radio 4's answer to the Mail?

I haven't listened to it for years, to be honest.

I've just listened to today's programme about strike action; everyone was listened to, various views were expressed and discussed, everybody was treated with respect. Even the Mail reader who rang in and tried to go off-topic by asking "Why don't the BBC show the BNP in a positive light when all they want to do is get us out the EU and protect British jobs for British workers?" was dealt with politely.
Doesn't sound much like the Mail to me.

Right. That's Kit Leary unfollowed, then.

Anyone heard the posh clown calling up at the moment? "I'm a student, I don't follow the normal student line".

Leave bankers alone. Look at what Wayne Rooney earns, apparently nobody ever criticizes his wages. And the church should stick to moral questions, not political ones.

Oh dear. Is it that Tory child from QT the other week? The one who thought that the Occupy protestors would be cluttering up the streets for "hundreds of years", but was relieved when Theresa May said she was bringing in new laws to restrict protests.

He was excruciating wasn't he? I kept expecting him to be revealed as a parody al la Harry Enfield but it never came.

He got a very easy time from the presenter too. Lefty BBC!

Say what you like about Wayne Rooney, he's never gambled his money away and come back for a government handout. Nor caused a recession, as far as I know.

He might have been the same chap as on Question Time. Though I've a horrible feeling there are quite a lot of this type among students. I met a bloke at UCL a while and he said the students there wouldn't even support the London Living Wage.
