You'll have to take the conceptual framework up with John, I'm just providing translation services.

This is something Hitchens would agree with. However, I fear, he may well be making a fool of himself by doing so....

sweet = good goes back to, at least, the 17th century. It survives mostly in London and the South East.

Quite disgusting headline. Why not use the headline 'drunk driver kills grandparents'. I forget, you have a vile agenda to push. How do we know the grandparents are honest? Is because they are presumably white and middle class? As their son says: "Mum and Dad were hard-working, honest taxpayers who had planned responsibly for their retirement and should have had 20-plus more years to enjoy together.

‘While we hold Mereohra responsible for his actions, we feel that our beloved mum and dad would still be alive today if the system had not failed by allowing him to be at liberty in the UK."

Aren't most people honest taxpayers? Would you be blaming the immigration service if the driver of the car was called Dave? Why not blame the police who flagged him for speeding weeks before the crash and did nothing? This emotional language distorts the story fully.

Drunken illegal immigrant who sneaked back into Britain after being deported used car 'as a weapon' and killed 'honest' pensioner couple in 100mph smash

Why do you have to state that the perpetrator was an illegal immigrant? Your coverage of this subject is too tiresome.

Also what relevance is the age of the victims? If they were younger would it be less tragic?

May pledges to stop Greek migrants flooding into Britain if they are forced to pull out of the Euro

Eh? Greece has been a member of the European Union since 1981.

If Greeks come over to the UK they won't be searching for work, just state handouts. Get us out of the EU and secure our borders. And get rid of the illegals already here. But will anything happen - of course not. All politicians talk hot air.

Haha. The irony of your location is hilarious. Without EU membership your expat existence in Europe would be far harder.

This whole entire story is speculative and really a red flag for xenophobes. I guess with a government this bad their only means of support is to push the anti-European line.

Nice dog whistle from the Nome Seccy to distract us from the malestrom of shit this government are in.
There's no way our courageous free press will be distracted by such a transparent ploy.

Back in the 1980s and 1990s the Tories were warning of hordes of Hong Kong Chinese coming over this way in 1997. Wonder what happened to them all?
