Apologies if this story has already been discussed elsewhere but I cannot find it here.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... -grim.html

Britain's hardest working father? On what criteria has the Mail based that claim upon? The family haven't 'claimed' state benefits but 'receive' over 600 quid per month in child benefits. MMMMM. And check out the cost of living comparison box. The Daily Mail calculator needs some new batteries, I'd say.

It says in the article that the family are staying with friends while he finds a job. The friends must have a very big house if they can accommodate that many extra people.

I thought that in order to move to Australia you had to have either a visa and shitloads of points, or a job ready and waiting for you? Either I'm wrong or this guy is playing a (late) April fools joke on the DM...

I would guess he is actually going to finish up working with the friends he has got in Australia, man moving to OZ to work for a friend doesn't make for a good headline, man taking big risk and moving to the other side of the world to find work is a much better story.

What a pity he and his brood-mare, sorry, wife, never thought to have their bits snipped after Brat Number 4. And yeah, he can't just move to Australia to look for work, he has to have a valid reason to get through Aussie customs - and they're apparently just a shade less-terrifying than NZ customs. Who wants to place bets on how long before we get a running soap-commentary on this "hard working familys" new life in Australia? And WHY is it that whenever someone says they're moving to Australia, they always seem to land in Queensland? Is that just me?

Eh well. Sell the small fat one for cash, that'll be you sorted, my dear.

My favourite bit:

'We have been to Majorca for the last five years and we have just got back from Euro Disney on the Eurostar.'

Yes. I quite loved the old lady who phoned me today to ask if she could get a refund on an account (which she got, bells and whistles) who told me quite gleefully that she was going to put the money towards a "nice little break in the sun" and wasn't going to tell her family where she was going. Rock on!
