Oddly, the dog whistle hasn't worked, most of the comments are essentially so-whatting. Poor old Mail, what is the world coming to when you can't rely on the readership going ape at the heady combination of BBC bashing and paedophilia.

Yep. And it's been pointed out (correctly) that Glitter sold the rights to all of his hit records for about £2,000,000 sometime in the late '90s - before he was ever charged with anything. So they're just lying through their teeth, again.

The Mail's already done this story and not just once. It also reported criticism of the BBC for doing the opposite.

Again, the crossover between the Cunt of the Day topic and others on this site is depressingly frequent (if not all than unexpected).

So how many top BBC stars are exploiting tax loophole? Corporation under pressure to reveal who is channeling pay through private companies

Self-employed people who work for Sky, ITV or the Daily Mail are cool, though.

Every. Flipping. Year.

"Stop using my licence fee to pay for this!"

Estimated cost of the rights for eight hours of Eurovision, including over three hours on primetime Saturday night BBC1: £300k. About half the cost of an episode of EastEnders.

"All the Eastern European countries band together."

Yep, that's why that noted ex-Warsaw Pact nation Sweden absolutely bloody wiped the floor with everyone.

"Well, that makes a change"

Oooh, yes, you have to go back a huge two years when Germany won. Since then it's a been a staggering continual parade of, er, one Eastern European winner.

And quite aside from anything else, poor old E-Hump was given a bleddy awful song to sing, and talented though he is, nobody could make that dirge sound good. All the others, (and yes, I'm even including Jedward, the mad Albanian lady and the Russian Grandmothers) at least had a bit of oomph behind it.

I mean, if we sent a Bowie/Elton/McCartney supergroup with Take That on backing vocals (yes, I know, but we have to appeal to the younger generation) and still finished second last then fair enough, but....

Hasn't the Eurovision voting been largely political for donkey's years anyway?

Cyprus and Greece aways give each other 12 points, no matter how pish their songs.

And quite frankly, Hump's song was that pish we wouldn't have won if we were the most popular contry in Europe.

Britain always gets points from Ireland, and usually Malta too. But that's not politics, it's cultural affinity.

I think that was one of the most thoughtful, appreciative and intelligent presentations of Shakespeare I have ever seen. Aesthetically it was beautiful, the performances were superb.

But to the Mail it's all about a nipple...
