Lifting a fully filled wheely bin 6 inches seems like it would be quite dangerous for the back. Meh.

Surely you would only have to get it down fully laden and return it (lifting) when empty.

Madeley, 56, who with wife Judy Finnigan divides his time between the countryside property and a home in north London, said he cared passionately for Cornwall and that the new rubbish scheme has made him 'furious'.

The former This Morning host said: 'Aside from all the problems with the collections, which have been well publicised, it is really awful to see all these coloured bags and boxes littering our countryside. It is a disgrace and I'm furious that this has been allowed to happen.'

I just wonder how stupid a person would have to be to advertise to the world that they have a second home in Cornwall which is empty for most of the year? Why doesn't the paper just publish the post code to make it even easier for a burglar to find?

I do have a tiny bit of sympathy for Richard, if their empty wine bottles are only collected once a fortnight the bottle bin must be well and truly overflowing by the time it is emptied.
