Usual scaremongering stuff - implying that non-white people can't be British and isn't it all dreadful. There are the usual predictable comments about how this is all down to mass immigration, non-white people can only be here if they've just got off the boat, clearly they're only stopping off to give birth before claiming shedloads of benefit money. And a number which can only be interpreted as direct incitements to racial hatred, talking about ethnic cleansing and the like ffs.

Can I suggest a mass report-in for the all the clearly racist comments? Really the entire report is an utter disgrace but if we can frighten them enough about the comments it might have some effect.

Due to my job i know allot about how this data is collected and technically White English, White Scottish, White Welsh, White Northern Irish and even White Cornish are sub categories of white other as opposed to White English so the statistics the DM uses are complete bollocks.

Yeah, on the last census my mum put herself down as white other, as she got annoyed that the options were 'white irish' 'white scottish' 'white british' or 'white other'

She ticked 'white other' and specified 'white welsh' as she was annoyed that the irish and scottish got their own tick boxes but the welsh didn't.

I suppose that means shes some sort of immigrant right?

I did the same; apparently on the next census next year the Welsh option will be included.

Those are his strange line breaks, not mine. And apparently immigrants don't pay rent or work. I'd rather he pissed off, if not into the sea then at least into a private house, seeing as he can afford to rent.

So that will be 14 out of 15 council houses (92.5% i think) given to non-migrants then?

There were some figures on the BBC news website earlier this year or late last, that said that one in ten council houses went to an immigrant. Really, they should be pleased at the change in the figures (if the figures' are accurate and comparable). Either way, trying to dress up 6.66% as a huge proportion is a bit farcical... :roll:

Ah yes, I remember that. Everyone else printed 9 out of 10 go to British people, Mail, Express, Sun and Telegraph said 1 in 10 goes to an immigrant

All were full of comments of "we've been betrayed", "this is just the last straw", "vote BNP" and so on.

Particularly as the wriggle-out-of-being-accused-of-racism clause most of the commentators on this sort of thing use is 'the right to sell or not to sell to whom I please' rather than 'the right not sell to darkies/muzzies/forrins'.

The thing is, you *can* genuinely use 'I will sell to whomever I please', at least in Scotland: when we sold our first flat we didn't take the highest bid we got for it, because that person was quite open about wanting to buy it as a letting property, and we didn't want to sell to him. We sold it to the second-highest bidder, and nobody said anything about us not having that right. You have to be pretty unsubtle to get into this position. Mind you, most racists ARE pretty unsubtle.
