Behave or we take your iPod: As Asbos are ditched, Ministers' new idea to control tearawayshttp://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... aways.html
Apart from the fact that this idea is completely illegal under the Bill of Rights 1689 (which, being constitutional law is not superceded by statute law and is thus still valid) that renders any seizure or forfeit before conviction to be illegal and void, that doesn't stop the Mailies jumping in with their mid-morning wankathon:
Bring back the birch!

It won't work if you take their MP3 they will steal another one or probably the parents will go crazy and give the police more trouble. They should bring back caning that might stop them.

I can't help feeling that more would be achieved if the young tearaways were to be given a damn good thrashing. . I can almost hear the howls of protest from the do-gooders.... and if they are against it, it must be a good idea.

Bring back corporal punishment and give them a good caning. Watch how well behaved they become. The world has lost the plot with these arrogant little wastes of space.

Give them a flogging in front of the whole community in order to shame them. Then see is they misbehave again...

To list but a few. There are about 100 comments on there giving increasingly vivid descriptions of how they'd like these young men's bottoms to be vigorously smacked with a thin stick
