A shrunken old man eats Ready Brek, glows, and then farts fire as men try to stamp it out with bits of cardboard?

There is something very disturbing about that little kid. In the article he is quoted as saying "I love the war,it's my favourite thing,I tell everyone about it". Does anyone else find it slightly worrying?

He's 7. He's trying to please whoever it is that has filled him up with this stuff. Whoever that was, they aren't doing him any favours.

Whoever gave him the hat and blazer weren't doing him any favours, either. His life at school will be hell now that photo's been all over the papers.

And am I being a bit PC-brigade to suggest that putting medals on his blazer kind of cheapens the concept of recognition of service?

Whoever has dressed him up seems to be attempting not to represent servicemen, but to turn war survivors into a giant collective symbol for their vision of how the UK should be.

Not at all, most former servicemen find anyone wearing medals they haven't earned distasteful.

Unless they are a relative - and wear them on the right-hand side which the kid is doing. I think the medals may be kosher.

Looks like Jim Carrey can't afford to light his flat. This picture is used to illustrate 'internet hacking'.

Is that a hacking jacket, then?

I like how the news (and Hollywood) always seem to depict hacking as taking place in the corner of a darkened room, with the only light coming from the computer.

Does anyone use a computer without any other light source? I sure don't.

I do sometimes, but I've got a backlit keyboard.
