It was amazing to see the amount of knee jerk frothing by the right-leaners on various message boards that the whole thing was part of the big plot by "the lamestream media" to discredit their precious snowflake, and the lickspittle running dog pinko commie presenter deliberately put her into a situation where she'd trip up.

Pointing out that it was Glenn Beck, their self-appointed messiah, tended to elicit a "Oh. Okay, then".

Disturbing.

They're all very upset about the attack on Prince Charles. Apparently, the anger in Europe shows what happens when you try to get people off big government.

riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight, so peoples anger about the loss of this shows, not that it's widely popular, but just demonstates why it's a bad thing?

still, at least they now know what the protests were about. when they happened glen beck was apprently saying they were over wikileaks, usng the well worn journalistic method of just looking at a couple of seconds of footage and then making shit up.

This is quite incredible - using footage of the student protests in London to claim that there is a growing Tea Party movement in Britain!




Now during the heights of the Cold War, the state TV broadcaster in East Germany had a weekly programme called "Der Schwarze Kanal". Because most people in East Germany could receive TV broadcasts from the West, many of them tuned in to view including news and documentary programmes. The Politburo were obviously not happy but jamming was not really possible to do without diplomatic incidents, so Der Schwarze Kanal set out to take programming from West Germany and rip it to pieces by providing a "different" commentary with the "real" meaning behind what was being said screwed around to fit that of the East German authorities viewpoints. The above example from Fox News has parallels to what Der schwarze Kanal did in its time. Quite scary really.
