Where should I start....this shows just how uninformed this guy is.

And the rest of it is a vast array of xenophobic guff, mostly boiling down to "They're alright serving me drinks on holiday, but I don't want them over here"

Most of the cost statistics come from the Taxpayers Alliance - hardly an impartial source, now. And several more meaningless graphs, showcasing such exclusives as 'Unemployment is rising in the EU' and 'Growth in the EU has been hit harder by the recession than China and India'

It then continues with some readers fawning over the Express, glad it has 'printed the unprintable: the EU is the source of all our woes'; an incredibly happy Nigel Farage, joyous that he now has a national newspaper to print whatever he wants; Norman Tebbit wheeled out to lick Richard Desmond's backside.

I would love to find the time to look at this in depth, but it's like staring into a black hole of idiocy. My IQ has actually dropped just from glancing over it.

European working time directive.
European convention of human rights.
Abolishment of death penalty.
European arrest warrant.

Mentally might not like them, but they've all been of benefit to various people at various times.

European Arrest Warrant: allows garlic-chewing jumped up forrin cops and humourless Gestapo-alikes who couldn't catch a Murat in an Algarve to come over here and try to tell good honest hardworking Proper Coppers like George Dixon and Gene Hunt how to do their jobs. And to lock up high-spirited British lads accused of a bit of horseplay gone tragically and unforeseeably wrong in a shit-filled hellhole full of people with swarthy skin who'll mistake them for a ripe melon before dragging them before a show trial so rigged it'd make Stalin feel uncomfortable.

I haven't read the article (as said, the Express website does strange things to my laptop) but is this the general gist of their objections?

He's noted the Express pull-out and anticipates he's going to be busy.

Another positive is the way specifications can be agreed across the whole single market. This really sets the likes of Farrage off but if he really thinks Britain's going to set up a whole different set of specs for new products, he doesn't expect to export very much. Of course, the real market's China, he'll say! China will of course ignore what happens in the EU and go for British standards.

So recession caused by financial crisis hits places with bigger financial sectors. Good god.

My question is this - why make it a pull-out? Do they honestly think it's the sort of thing anyone would keep and refer back to either fondly or for reference, like shots of a royal wedding or some sort of world cup wallchart?

I anticipate this being left in many a downstairs loo in middle-England. Once, when working on a building site a set of instructions from an electric drill was left in the site loo - by the end of the two weeks everybody there knew everything there was to know about the drill, and it became something of a running joke. Thus are people programmed by their hosts choice of en-suite literature.
