Well, exactly. Unless you're so literal-minded that you take "fancy a pint" to mean precisely one pint and no more of beer, then it'll probably survive. Generally, in my experience, "fancy a pint" means anything from two quiet pints to several pints, a couple of shots, a pill and a gig I hadn't been planning to go to followed by more beer and a couple of joints back at home.
