What the flip is going on here? Have I woken up in a parallel universe?

From a life a luxury (sic) in Pakistan to a modest house in Blackburn: Molly, a teenager torn between two cultures

This is about Molly Campbell, who disappeared to Pakistan aged twelve, and has now returned as Muslim convert Misbah Ahmed Rana. The Mail refers to her as "Molly" throughout the article, subtly showing what they think of it all.

So, the comments should be a total cuntfest, right?

Quote:
All the best to you Misbah Ahmed Rana. You clearly stated Molly is not your name now - So, why would the DM insist on calling you Molly throughout the entire article?

"I'm Misbah Ahmed Rana, not Molly Campbell and I’m back because I want the freedom to choose what I do in life". Why then is the Mail insisting on calling her "Molly Campbell" throughout the article?

What a very mature young woman, and I admire her father's decision - it can't have been easy for him

this article shows exactly where culture ends, and islam starts - islam gives her the freedom to work and be educated, the culture (in pakistan) does not - but she will be able to do both in what truly is Great Britain

Wow, what a mature, sensible 16 year old!! She will go far this one. And a credit to her father...........he's not the horrible abducting man we were led to believe he was after all. What i don't get, is why the DM kept refering to her as Molly after she clearly told you her name now is Misbah Ahmed Rana!!! So Rude!!!!

I really wish the DM would get out of the gutter. No wonder it's "journalists" remain anonymous.

Quote:
What is the DM editorial stance? One minute ranting about the amount of sex on TV etc, the next publishing as many pervy shots as possible.

Quote:
Vile. The Daily Mail stoops to new levels. Will your photographers be planting cameras under restaurant tables to take "up-skirt" photos next?

Quote:
And of course the DM has to be rude enough to publish such a photograph and draw everyone's attention to it! Whatever happened to decency and consideration! You don't have to print pictures/articles like this - you have just become the lowest form of tabloid trash!

Although having realised, after several hours of comments, that the pic isn't being well received as wank-fodder, they have now pixellated out the offending nipple.

Could probably also go in Jailbait thread...

Chic: Rosamund Pike looked every inch the English rose in her white dress which was decorated with poppies, while 14-year-old True Grit star Hailee Steinfeld looked all grown up in her monochrome dress and heels

There really is something about "all grown up" that literally makes me judder every time I read it
