Following the hunting ban I bet all those type of groups and people involved such as Clarissa knew exactly what all the laws were pertaining to it, and all the ins and outs. Mostly so they could moan about it.

Someone explan the legal logic of this.

She didn't know the law, but ignorance is no defence, hence guilty.

So why the absolute discharge?

Because an absolute discharge is a sentence - i.e. you can only receive one if you're guilty of something. It's obviously the lightest punishment you can get, but it does mean that you have a criminal record.

Don't know if he has been listed here already but I'm not checking 30-odd pages as he deserves a second mention in any case. He is in today's Mail, which lists several of his 'hilarious gaffes' - or racial slurs, if you're half-civilized.

on a related matter, can anyone explain her hated of otters? i may disagree with "country folk" over the issues of foxes and badgers, but i do understand where their position comes from (killing chickens, spreading tb) but...otters? anyone?

Love his comedy, although he can be quite arrogant. Some of his fans seem to be the same (but every fan thinks their hero is right about everything i.e. Littlejohn fans).

I always struggle a bit with his comedy, because I quite like his material, but hate his smug, laboured, repetitive delivery. I'm slowly getting used to him, because my bloke practically rims him on a regular basis, but still.
