I see lots of foxes around here at night, usually eating the obligatory dropped takeaways. I got quite close to one a while ago actually, he/she just gave me this unimpressed "What?" kinda look and carried on eating.

It does seem hard to impress a fox. Unlike, in my experience, hedgehogs and Liberal Democrats.

Not only do they attack children they also shoplift. Bring back hanging.

Worse than that, they go through the 7 items or fewer till with 8 or more items.
That's cunning.

Nah. That's the pigeons. And I think that woman over the back.

Seriously - we have a family of Magpies, lovely looking birds, in fact we helped a fledgling survive when it came out of the nest too early, but one of them starts that bloody awful Magpie alarm call every time I walk into the garden and keeps on for bloody hours! They also drive away all other birds, and sometimes get into very noisy fights with the squirrels. Who are busy vandalising the bird feeders and digging up the planters. It's a feckin' jungle out there. And we don't even have a lawn...

I've seen similar, and most entertaining too.
Plucky little fellow leapt up at a bloody great crow.
Pity it was a grey one.

You do realise that you said that in your best Rolf Harris impersonation voice?

I wasn't paying attention when I read that and thought you wrote that it attacked a cow...

In France we often see crows attacking buzzards (seen that in England as well) but the buzzards are unimpressed, so it's not much of a fight. Have you seen crows fighting other crows? Vicious.

In Normandy we are getting red squirrels back - either that or they never really went away. Pretty little things.

Crows are nasty to each other! I was surprised how vicious they can be the first time I saw a couple fighting. I thought seagulls were bad.

Talking of scrapping birds, we have a robin that visits our garden regularly, recently he's become embroiled in a turf war with a new robin (they're very territorial). Their 'fighting' is a lot more civilised than crows though, it's mostly chasing and a lot of shouting at each other. At the moment anyway. Any day now I expect to see them arrive tooled up.

I see the occasional urban fox (and hedgehog). They've never caused any problems though.

I've seen crows attacking a heron - pretty spectacular.

Fox in the garden this morning - doesn't seem to have caused any damage but I might ring the Mail anyway - we've got a baby in the house!

Now Robins are vicious, those guys go at it to the death.
