From the comments on Littledick's column today

We haven't had one of these for a while, but there's a cracker on the sadface story about the woman whose drive was nicked

Quote:
johnny luddite,, kill all machines,roy batty drive,orion, uk worser than ploeland

I'm guessing 'ploeland' is supposed to be Poland. The irony of 'Johnny Luddite' giving 'Kill all machines' as part of his location, using a machine to do so, is probably totally lost on him.

From the story about Poland having better standard of living than the UK.

I`m sure Poland is a wonderful country, and that it has many qualities. But this afternoon, while walking in leafy, balmy Hertfordshire, (it could have been any part of Blighty) I was reminded yet again, that this is undoubtedly the best country on earth

I'm sure we've seen "AlittlecornerofBlightwherelazyAmericanismsregardingdietandlanguagearenotallowed" before but attached to a different name. I wonder if the nom de plume is trying to make an immigration point?

Poland is a quite extraordinarily beautiful country - particularly in the spectacular Tatra mountains.

I do agree that the Uk is also a fantastic country, and I don't doubt that Hertfordshire is delightful, but this guy is talking bollocks if he thinks Poland is bland or mundane - it is anything but.

The only places I've been in Poland are Warsaw and Auschwitz.
I wouldn't describe either as "bland or mundane" - for very different reasons.

They never have a clue of what Blake was writing about, do they? It's like '1984' - some sort of meme for the terminally stupid.

88 = Heil Hitler

18 = Adolf Hitler

(from the first and eighth letters of the English alphabet - not a great deal of imagination, these boneheads)

Hence the Nazi groups Column 88 and Combat 18.

I didn't see that at all.

In fact I took it to be a fairly pleasant comment considering it's the DM. Essentially it's "I'm sure Poland is nice, but I also think Britain is very nice and I think I'm lucky to live here" which is better than the 'dregs of humanity' twats. As for the username, "Neejur Kryakshun"= "Need your/a correction? Maybe he/she is just annoyed at poor grammar,'ball-park figures', 'can I get's and 'train station's.
