I'm working (or meant to be) in central London at the moment. The noise from helicopters overhead seems to be non-stop, presumably because they're keeping a close eye on the lads in Tower Hamlets. The cops seem to be very determined to keep a lid on it, which gets my vote.

I don't think this was anything to do with the EDL. Seems to be a personal vendetta.

Stephen Yaxley-Lennon has been arrested.

He was goading the police that he was breaking his bail conditions and invited them to arrest him. It seems they did just that.
