That Simoncelli report is a fucking disgrace. Rubbernecking of the highest order. I missed the race yesterday, and can't bring myself to even try and watch the damned thing, to see a young, happy, vibrant cub like Marco snuffed out before my eyes. Clearly not a problem the folk at the Mail have.

(Yes, there are undoubtedly bigger and more important tragedies in the world and all that, and it is getting what could reasonably be called disproportionate attention and all.)

The BBC did the right thing and showed the race in slow motion upto the split second before the crash. It was obvious what, was to happen and how by that time nothing could be done but no rubber necking or innaprorate film of a great young guy dying.

No doubt the idiots will call it pc gone mad etc.

Does anybody know what sky showed please?

My thoughts exactly. This obviously puts to and end the 'happy ever after' myth of horses walking amongst us.

It's weird, I'm sure NY'ers would consider these horses as part of their culture and heritage. Something which they might not want stamped out.

The Mail-readers seem to be calling for a ban in the comments, but I wonder maybe if animal rights activists were calling for horses to no longer be used in military parades in the UK for example. I dunno

I'm sure she'd deem it unnatural and blame the animals decadent lifestyle choices.

He knows that he probably killed his friend. That's a very cruel fate.

Wankers indeed.

But, I must say, Jim'll looks remarkably chipper for an 84yr old cigar chain-smoker in that pic. So you lose, you disgusting gutter rag!
