I think Ryanair is great. I like their policies and if you know and follow the rules there are no problems.

But I mainly like them because of their, admittedly dishonest, policy of advertising that they fly to certain European cities when in fact the frigging destination airport is practically in a different country. As I travel a lot to an (unfashionable) place in which their dodgy airport is located and every other carrier goes direct to the (fashionable) advertised city it saves me a fortune in car hire/train fares. Which is nice.

I don't like Ryanair because Michael O'Leary is such a cunt.

Meh, he's not flying the plane though. And he's no more of a cunt than Stelios. Now that's one airline I hate. Had terrible times traveling with them.

Is he that much of a cunt, though? All of the stories the Mail prints about him are completely false. Maybe he's just a very good [self] publicist?

I hope by that you don't mean their policy of refusing to recognise trade unions; manipulating statistics; falsely claiming that Ryanair workers based in other EU countries are subject to Irish law; sacking a pilot for handing out union literature; wilfully misleading customers over prices and destinations; ignoring the Office of Fair Trading over debit card fees; essentially holding small regional airports hostage by running loss-making services until the competition goes under, and then compelling the airport authorities to (illegally) subsidise Ryanair or risk losing their business (see the Charleroi dispute); and suppressing criticism by its own employees.

Well obviously I meant charging fuck all and getting to destinations as quick as possible, without suffering fools gladly. Meaning the type of Mail reading passenger that thinks it's their god-given right to take everything including the kitchen sink on with them as hand luggage.

What are you supposed to do? British Airways are full of shit and bad treatment of staff too. You've got a link on there to Airliners.net, if you believe that lot then ALL airlines are a set of cunts.
