A couple of people on there deciding this is somehow the fault of Facebook too. The overwhelming majority pose rhetorical outraged questions which could be answered with "she was 14 and made a mistake"

The BBC's article explains:

The Mail couldn't give a toss about this. (The part about coats in the headline is purely anecdotal — the article is based on a survey by a childhood continence charity, which doesn't deal with clothing issues.) The Mail wants its readers to think that today's parents are "lazy" and generally worse in every possible way. The readers oblige:

First of all they're saying that schools are not doing their job properly when it comes to educating children and that they should be doing EVERYTHING, now it's the paren's fault again.

Who's next? Or will it just bounce between school/parents and back again as usual?

Some parents may have ended up too busy to look after their children properly. It's not as if employers give a shit and people actually do want to keep off benefits.

The Mail has called up one of its favourite experts for this one: Norman Wells of the Family Education Trust, which campaigns against sex education in schools, among other noble pursuits:
