Anna Soubry is speaking about Fox on Newsnight.

She wants to be in the government, doesn't she?

She is a law graduate who used to be a TV presenter. somehow, it's completely impossible to take her remotely seriously.

Ha, ha. Anna Soubry reduced to saying the opposition are making "political capital".

ie they're doing well on the issue.

Now Soubry's said Werritty is a "private individual".

He should have put that on his business card then.

Abernathy, I know, I lived in the Central region when she was on TV with Oscar the Newshound and other luminaries.

The government is clearly running out of MPs willing to go on TV to try and defend the indefensible. Her performance was truly cringeworthy.

I see Cameron has also let it to Sir George Young to present the report to parliament tomorrow.

Nice chap who can spend a few minutes referring to something that happened in 1978, and hope everyone's gone to sleep?

I think that is now the government's new media strategy. Instead of arguing with TV presenters like Paxman either send on a MP who is one sandwich short of a picnic or else send on Young or Hammond to bore viewers to death.

Some venture capitalist ex-mate of Liam Fox on about reducing employment legislation because "the unemployed have rights". And "the state is 50% of the economy"- that's because it's a recession, isn't it?

Now he's had a go at "it's immoral what we're doing, borrowing money". Guess who's going to be made to pay?

Actually he redeemed himself by attacking Fox at the end.

Mark Serwotka just gave an impassioned, principled, angry and effective account of himself against a slimey Francis Maude, whom I'm rapidly forming an impression of as one of the most despicable, scheming, and hateful of Cameron's cronies.

Nice one, Serwotka.

Cardiff boy isn't he, Serwotka? I find him extremely likeable. He is the antithesis of Bob Crow!

Why the hell did I think he was Irish?

On the flip side apparently we share the same birthday

He's descended from the Wicklow Serwotkas Matt.
