That's working a treat... Typical cuntservative... "My version of economics is not working so let me project its failure onto 'liberals'"

I'm thinking that a good idea would be for everyone, from about now, to begin shitting into a big-ish tupperware box. You can keep it in the fridge until it gets unacceptably manky, then bin it and start a new box.

This way, there would be an abundant quantity of fresh shite to fling at Thatcher's cortege. If we get enough people committed to this, it could be truly spectacular. And quite beautiful.

Not only that I think mr kipper is saying the only alternative to Thatcherism is a form of, until now unknown, Keynsianism that is actually Keynsianism with Marxisim.

I think reading Jenner's posts just hurt my brain.

I've noticed a very cordial response to the Tories ever since Mr Farage started to court them somewhat, You say by not being a Tory you are free to disagree with them, but as a human being you are anyhow?

As for Keynes and his policies you shouldn't really have commented. And of his most famous quote "If the facts change, I change my mind", by defending the current system and lammenting Keynes you have displayed a lack of knowledge of who he was, what he did and what the contradictory nature of his life was.

There are basics and flaws to Keynes economic thinking, but that is the case in point he actually changed several times the basics of his thinking so to nail one core thinking down to Keynes is false. To connect Marxism to Keynes is woeful after all Keynes himself was an investor and speculator.

When I turned on LBC on the radio this morning I heard someone talking about Thatcher's legacy and my heart leapt. Then I realised it was that twat James Max, and they'd never have entrusted such a solemn moment to him, they'd have heaved Ferrari out of bed.

I'm way ahead of you Abernathy. I can regularly be seen harvesting at dawn, trundling my barrow around the pastures and cowsheds of the neighbouring farm. The trebuchet stands in the shed, rampant and freshly greased, ready to be mounted on The Peugeot of Death.

I didn't think it was possible for me to hate her even more, until yesterday.

Keynes believed in short term intervention to break an economy out of the depression/recession.

At least part of what Keynes is saying is clearly true. The behavior of the private sector during a negative economic cycle has a bad macroeconomic effects.

It's certainly a step forward from "There is no alternative".

As mattomac said, Keynes was no socialist, which should be patently obvious however the word 'socialist' is bandied about by right wingers, who think it means anything to do with government and tax.
