I was a fan, but I find some of the BBC Breakfast presenters quite vacuous, Reid and Charlie Stayt in particular. Recent appearances in the DM (Reid, not Stayt) have confirmed my suspicions. I couldn't see either of them holding politicians to account on Newsnight. In my bizarre fantasy world where I have the pick of the newsreaders, I would prefer Sophie Long.

Reid's Sunday morning 'discussion' programme is, frankly, embarrassingly bad...
