These stories seem to come out and they find themselves on a load of leftist/liberal websites all at once. However their has been no mention of this on npr, the one media outlet in the states I regard as truly reliable and sincere. I can not find anything on the New York Times website. I can not find anything on the Washington Post website. Hell, I cannot even find anything on MSNBC (the fox of the left).

So while I may be missing something I suppose on this issue (and some others that I have posted in this thread), I am starting to have doubts.

If only the left wing web site had been posting the story, I wouldn't have posted it because I'd have been dubious about the possibility of a biased source. So I clicked the link in the article to The Memphis Commercial Appeal, which is where the site got the story from and which seems legit, with a name and place attached.

It wouldn't surprise me if the big stations aren't picking some of these up simply because these comments're getting to the point where - rather than being crazy and unusual enough to be worth some shock value or even stuck next to the water-skiing squirrel in the novelty slot, they're too common to be news any more.

After all, they're concentrating on the personalities in the GOP presidential race at the moment. More stupidity from the Teabaggers is surplus to the narrative.

The problem I am seeing here in the US is these stories come out and like Bammmm ....

They are all over the same sites .... addictinginfo, huffington etc....

With no hard evidence to back them up (in a lot of cases)...

Next week, Oklahoma plans to outlaw the grazing of purple polka dotted unicorns on public highways. But for now...

And as for what's actually happening and not being legislated against, here's a breakdown.

And did anyone else hear about Newt Gingrich's plan to build a moon base and send a manned mission to Mars? Fiscal responsibility FTW!

EDIT: And here's another load of fresh Santorum.

I think I already had this conversation the other day, when Malcolm and I were talking the other day about Gove slowly devolving us past the Victorians and straight into Brave New World.

As for the Oklahoma story

From the look of this, he can insult it well enough by himself.

this is one of the reasons why many male homosexuals place larger and larger objects in their rectums.

I'll take his word for that one.

That's utterly and completely inaccurate and plain wrong.

The plural of rectum is recta.

He's obviously thought about this quite a long time.

Hmm.

I was wondering why that bloke I saw today was wearing a giant nappy and waddling along like a chimp with a great dribble of liquid shite gushing out his trouser leg.

I now know that he clearly must have been a devotee of anal sex.

Maybe he's under the impression that sex isn't meant to be enjoyable, therefore the only reason to have sex is for reproduction. Certainly that'd correlate with every woman he's ever slept with telling him it was the worst experience of their lives.

Unbelievable.

Also, what is that 'RLOVEUTION' stuff about? Ron Paul's ideology seems about as far removed from any notion of love as it's possible to be.

Ron Paul is Peter Hitchens worst nightmare.......

He gives very muddy answers when it comes to abortion and gay marriage. (Yes abortion is still a huge issue in US politics).

That said, his attacks on Greenspan when Bush was in power.... Got to give him credit for that...

I think he gets plaudits from a lot of liberals because he at least attempts to be consistent. Unlike the likes of the other shithead hypocritical sacks of shit who are involved in the Grand Old Party mularkey....
