Who was it that said that if the riots were caused by parents not physically disciplining their kids, then they must be knocking seven bells out of their nippers up in Kensington and Chelsea?

It was Laurie Penny in a debate on Channel 4 news on Sunday 29th January (I quoted her in the Politicians Swallowing The Mail's Agenda thread which may be where you read it).

Lesbian lovers Kirsty Cox and Anna Jones have both become mothers after DIY artificial insemination from the same sperm donor.

The married couple are bringing up three-month-old Scarlett Marie and Alfie, who are half brother and sister to each other.

While it's positive that the Mail calls them a "married couple", I can't imagine it describing Posh & Becks as "straight lovers".

"DIY artificial insemination" is a very oblique way to describe what I imagine to be a fairly blunt procedure.

The Mailites think the couple look alike because they have similar hair (presumably styled by the sperm donor). Coz gays just fancy themselves, innit?

My son was about to be a sperm donor to a lesbian couple (not married) but it didn't happen when they split up. I was quite happy with the idea, but Mrs Armsteen wasn't, as she said she would effectively have a grandchild that she would never meet and never know anything about. Another son did point out that this was probably the case already, but she was genuinely unhappy about the idea.

Funny business, genetics.

An impartial legal opinion then. Oh dear.

Lord Brennan QC, an opponent of same sex marriage, also claimed the removal of such words from the statute books could result in legislative chaos.

Ah.

This is all so wrong. What does it say about this 'couple' that they have an issue with the race of one of their children when the far bigger issue is the question of whether two men should be entitled to bring up children in the first place. If two men want to be together then that is their concern but bringing children into the equation is just unethical.

If they were both men, why did they need a sperm donor?

Quite rightly...

I see we now have a Scottish branch of the TaxDodger's Alliance. That's nice.

And there was me thinking that the Scots don't pay any tax.
