My local paper has come up with a new gimmick instead of sad faces they have now started printing a big blue smiley face logo next to all the stories that they think will make readers smile. I wonder it will catch on in other papers?

That's absolutely pathetic.
Yeah, it'll catch on.

Jebus, not this "story" again.

Quote:
The school's policy on students' dress says students shouldn't have close-shaven hair. It reads: "Pupils' hair should be clean and tidy without extremity of cut, colour and style. For guidance, the school will not permit a style which draws notable attention to the student concerned.

As usual, some arseholes thinking the rules don't apply to them. Granted, the haircut isn't really extreme by modern day standards, but it does clearly contravene the rules.

The photo is very strange. Mum purports to be supportive of son and his 'do yet she's looking at him, and it, in a way that would suggest the opposite.

Now this is a story that could really use a sadface photo - poor old 'Big Al' from Southcote has paid to be a porn star, but is astonished to reveal that the adult film world may have some unscrupulous characters operating within it.

Porn film wannabe left feeling blue

Imagine the possibilities for a sadface photo. Big Al poses, holding up the advert in one hand, and his flaccid, frustrated member in the other. Possibly with a gimp mask on to preserve his anonymity, albeit with a sadface crudely drawn onto the gimp mask in chalk. I bet he is particularly upset at not being able to take the porn job in Bracknell. I know I would be.

There was a story like this in the Sun a while ago: two overweight, bald, middle-aged blokes that paid some company to be male escorts. Unlike Big Al, though, they gave their full names in the article and, as I recall, posed for a rather awesome sadface picture. I know these people are victims of a scam, but really... how daft do you have to be to fall for that one?

edit: found it http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/1594635/Flawed-escorts-demand-refund.html - Evil Murdoch won't let me copy the picture's URL, but it's an absolutely amazing double sadface!

Some of those comments are world-class.

My god, imagine if you had paid for a bit of company and one of those turned up. You'd run screaming in the other direction, as fast as possible.

Impressive group effort! Surprised the Mail haven't picked up on this one yet.
