Absolutely horrendous, when there are British people who can earn £2.99 a day making them.

Cost of Olympics to spiral to £24bn... TEN TIMES higher than 2005 estimate (and is it any wonder when we're forking out £335,000 for a single sculpture)

Wow, a whole 0.01% of the cost. I bet if you told these miserable fuckers it was all being spent on holding pens for the foreigners so they can be seccessfully shipped out afterwards in their entirity they'd fucking lap it up.

10,000 jobs created just for the security, and further on it states that the vast majority of applicants have been London locals. If this was anything other than the Olympics, they'd be praising all these new "British" jobs

Ah yes, but these jobs are only being created because a load of filthy forrins are coming over here and as we know Johnny Foreigner is a bad-un. Therefore it's a waste of hard-working families' money.

Don't forget that many of these revolting forrins will be very good at running away (to claim their free houses, £26,000 pa, motability BMWs and 140" plasma TVs etc etc).

Welcome aboard Scotdeb btw.

I was waiting for them to pick up on the nurses.

The NHS and schoolchildren. Do you think Boyle thought long and hard about this message to the World?

Mr Boyle obviously cares more about nurses and children than this despicable spiv government ever could. I suppose Janice Atkinson-Small would prefer a parade of bankers to open the games?

I don't get it I would have thought that the UK having the Olympics would have been a good thing for the Mail?

I remember in the run up to the 2004 Olympics the Mail sent reporters to Greece to sniff round the Olympic park and slag off the greek workmanship of the workers,if the French had won the right to host the Olympics in 2005 the Mail would have gone apeshit blamed Tony Blair and then spent 7 years slagging off France's efforts.

Unless it's royalty (and then even only the 'right' ones - i.e. Phil and Liz, and the young photogenic ones) or fluffy animals, the default position of the Mail is 'whinge'.

Yep, it's just something else to add to the (very large) list of "things to complain about". If it went to Paris they'd bitch that "We should have had it, it's a filthy Euro conspiracy that they got it, they're all out to get us!".
