Who do you find just so annoping that you can't listen to them in case you crash the car or throw the TV out of the window?

Anne Atkins has long been on my list - ever since her outragoeusly homophobic Thought for the Day way back when on the Today Programme.

I found on Friday while driving home that I just couldn't listen to yet another Taxpayers Allience rent-a-gob on 5 Live - they seem to turn up on every single BBC news programme just lately and their ill-informed, lying crap is never challenged.

Yup - Anne Atkins has long been at the very top of my list. Increasingly, she is being joined by Edwina Currie, and that twat of an Ulsterman that presents the late night shows on 5 Live at the weekend.

Meanwhile over at Classic FM, there is John Suchet. Creepy, condescending, oleaginous, slimey, and smarmy - he's got the fucking lot, and gets right on my nipple ends.

It could be worse - Currie used to present the nighttime weekend show on 5 Live - I had to stop listening to it altogether she was so annoying. On a non-political level, I also gave their late show the sack when the self-obsessed and downright thick Richard Bacon was presenting it. Tony Livesey is not exactly my idea of broadcaster of the year, but he's a vast improvement - at least he lets his guests speak, as a general rule.

I quite like Livesey - he is a very professional broadcaster.

Richard Bacon - never liked him, from his Blue Peter days through his stint on the Big Breakfast. When Marks lamarr and Little did the doorstepping job on that show, they always looked like they were enjoying it. Bacon always had a sneer on his face as if this shit was just so beneath him. He's always struck me as incredibly stilted and aware just how shit he is as well.

Jeremy Vine - relentless spewer of tabloid cobblers. Coos over any caller over 75 years old, as if their longevity turned them into Yoda. Promulgator of bullshit, encourager of nutjobs to think they're not alone, cretinous.

Chris Moyles. I used to have a car radio that only picked up Radio 1. I cheered the day it broke and I couldn't find the reset code.

Scott Mills. Ditto. In fact any Radio 1 daytime presenter.

Frank Skinner. He must have incriminating pictures of the BBC board. Only explanation.

Jennifer Saunders. Not funny, never was.

You mean Stephen Nolan.
I'm amazed to see he holds a BBC record for awards or something like that.

To me he represents everything about talk radio that the BBC should be avoiding.
* Describes himself as Feisty.
* Constantly bores us with his weight problems.
* Utter desperation chasing his pre-set agenda on a story.
* Never gives up on the non-existant scandal in said story and consequently wastes the whole section on non-issues.
* Always has an "indignant caller" ready to ambush the person he's trying to set up.
* Regular parade of libertarian and astroturf commentators on speed-dial.
* Many other regulars on his show are uterly dire.
* Especially Edwina Currie - who's added smug, offensive and stupid to her repertoire since leaving the commons.
* Unable to moderate a discussion leading to all the guests usually shouting at once.

Victoria Derbyshire - (See Stephen Nolan) Similar desperation to get to the dirt inside a story when it's clearly not there.

Chris Moyles - Has no redeeming features. Makes me question my strongly held opposition to eugenics.

Imagine if we had a test for the "Moyles Bloke" gene in the womb?
We'd be crazy not to - right?

Chris Moyles, Scott Mills, and Greg James (Scott Mills-Lite) on the radio.

Noel Edmonds on TV, and any of those smug twats that slouch around leaning on the fridge in that Something for the Weekend programme (Tim Lovejoy et al).

EDIT: And everyone on Heart FM, the radio station that plays in the waiting room of hell.

Bacon loved his little bit on The Thick Of It didn't he? (check out the DVD extras). Christ I bet it made him fel like a proper actor, and a serious radio broadcaster to be given that little role. What were they thinking?

I go with noel tidybeard as well.

every time I spot the creep I'm reminded of a (true) story related to me by a drayman guy I know.

as follows:

drayman was given on out-of-the-way, additional 'drop'; a smart gastropub, positoned in its own grounds somewhere in oxfordshire. driving down the private road drayman spotted a heli-pad. later, speaking to the manager, drayman comments on this. 'a few of our regulars actually arrive by 'copter' says manager. 'one who comes in always orders a snadwich/coffee. I charge him £20.' drayman gasps. 'to anyone else' says manager 'I charge £7. I don't like him. my staff can't stand him and my regulars think he's a prick. he knows what I'm doing but the arrogant little bastard just pays up'.

and to think I used to like him on 'swapshop'.
